Guiding Questions: Psalms 124

This is part of the Tanakh Yomi Project.

  1. If God were not “with us” (Psalms 124:1-2) what would have occurred?
  2. And, by whom/what?
  3. Why, then, is God thanked in Psalms 124:6?
  4. To what is the soul/life of the Psalmist compared in Psalms 124:7?
  5. Is it the God of Israel and/or the universal God who is thanked — or both (or is there any difference in this particular Psalm)?
