Hanukkah

The holiday of Hanukkah celebrates the miracle of oil, the rededication of the Temple, and the shining of light in the darkness.

Hanukkah begins on the evening of the 25th of Kislev and lasts for eight days and eight nights. The central mitzvah of the holiday is the lighting of the menorah at home and in the synagogue.

Hanukkah begins on Sunday night, December 18th, and continues through Monday, December 26th.
