Opening the Gates: Elul 20

After Shabbat, some will begin to recite Selichot, and we will take another step into the High Holiday season. The melodies and prayers can be haunting, the language urgent. It is as though the gates of heaven creak open a little further, and we are invited to walk through.

What does it mean for you to step in? What is one step that you can take right now?

Kavanah: Take a moment tonight to mark the transition, to name this season and how you’re entering it.
