Adding Some Shenanigans to your Purim

Adding Some Shenanigans to your Purim

For many, Purim is a time to get silly. We wear costumes and tell jokes. Some communities host festivals, parades, and carnivals.

For those who want to add a bit more whimsy to your Purim celebration, we’ve created a few resources that you might find enjoyable.

Purim Fortune Tellers

The original paper fortune teller has a fascinating history drawing on horoscope customs in 12the Century Spain and Japanese traditions of origami. It has gone by many names and was even included in educational resources in the United States in the 1950s.

There’s no better time to add some of this nostalgia into your Purim celebrations!

We’ve created a kid-friendly and adult Purim Fortune Tellers for you to print and fold at home!

Purim Bingo

Bingo was originally developed in Italy in the 16th century, but the modern version we all recognize is from the 1920s and 30s in the United States.

This game run by a game leader who announces squares at random, players who hope to find five squares in a row to win.

In our version, they aren’t just letters and numbers but moments in the Purim story! We’ve put together 15 versions of the board for you to play with and a slips page to make the gameplay easier.
